Explore Different Microsoft 365 Subscriptions
Microsoft offers several subscription levels for Microsoft 365. There are three levels targeted at home users:
- Microsoft 365 Family: Can share this subscription up to six users. Each user can install Office apps on all their devices and access 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
- Microsoft 365 Personal: This subscription is for a single user, but you can install Office apps on all your devices. You also get access to 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
- Office Home and Student 2019: This is a one-time purchase Office and includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You can only install Office apps on a PC or Mac, and the version does not have any OneDrive cloud storage.
Install Microsoft 365 on Another Device
You can install your Office subscription on as many devices as you want.
To install Office on another computer, use the computer where you want to install Office and sign in to your Microsoft account. On the Office portal page, Install Office.
To install Office on a mobile device, use the smartphone or tablet on which you want to install Office. Then go to Google Play, Apple Store or Windows Store and download the apps.
Share Your Microsoft 365 Home Subscription with Others
If other members of your home are using Microsoft 365, they don’t need to purchase subscriptions. You can share a Microsoft 365 Family subscription with up to five other people.
When you share a Microsoft 365 subscription, each person can access:
- Apps: The latest version of Office apps for PC, Mac, tablets and smartphones.
- Cloud storage: 1 TB of storage in OneDrive.
- Skype calls: Call mobiles and landlines, limited to 60 minutes per month.
- Outlook email: 50 GB of email storage space.
To share a Microsoft 365 Home subscription:
one Sign in with the Microsoft account you used to set up Microsoft 365.
2nd Over Office portal page, select Install Office.
3 Choose Sharing tab.
4 Choose Start sharing.
5 Over Sharing Office window, choose one of the following:
- Invite by email: Sends a link in the e-mail message.
- Invite via link: Creates a link that you can copy and give to the person via e-mail, text message or otherwise.
