Another email conspiracy is preventing distributors from running bots on Google AdSense on their basics, except when they pay $ 5,000 in Bitcoin.
As stated in a report on Krebs on Security, the email-based enforcement plan targets site owners who offer standard promotions through Google’s AdSense program.
“In this trick, scammers demand bitcoin in exchange for an oath that the distributor will not fill their advertisements with so many bots and garbage traffic that the enemy of Google’s computerized misrepresentation frameworks represents the customer’s AdSense as suspicious traffic,” the report said.
AdSense is a free and basic approach to making money by placing ads on your site.
KrebsOnSecurity happened with a user who followed several locales that received considerable traffic in AdSense.
“Soon the above warning notification will no doubt appear in your AdSense account dashboard! This will come about because of the way we fill your website with a massive measure of web traffic generated directly by the bot with 100% bob rate and huge number of IPs in the revolution – a bad dream for every AdSense distributor, “read the message
“Likewise, we will modify our complex bots to turn on each AdSense flag running on your site in an endless loop of varying lengths of time”.
The message is asking for $ 5,000 worth of bitcoin to stop the attack.
In the announcement, Google said the message appears to be an exemplary danger of betrayal.
“We hear a lot about the harm potential, this is a surprisingly rare occurrence and we’ve set up a few protections to prevent the damage from being successful,” the announcement said.
